How to Publish a Missed Scheduled Post in WordPress?

WordPress is a very good platform to create a website but sometimes there are some common errors which make you frustrated, one of them is how to publish a WordPress Scheduled Post which was not published due to some error. And the most shocking thing is when you go to the post you can’t see a publish button. What? You can’t publish the post yourself?

To publish your scheduled post which was missed to be published, you will have to log in to your WordPress admin and then go to the posts where you have scheduled your post.

Now simply click on the post which you want to be published right now and here you will see the scheduled option on the right side of the page above update button.

Click on the edit button and then click ok, the update button will automatically be changed to publish button. And now you know what you have to do.

Why our Scheduled Post sometimes is missed to be publishing in WordPress?

There are several reasons for this error but we will discuss the common one.

1.       Confirm your Time zone is correct

To confirm your timezone is correct to know the default timezone is UTC time. You can reset your timezone here > Settings > General. Select the closest city to you in the same timezone in the drop-down menu you see there and then click “save changes”.

Know that scheduled posts do not actually publish until a visitor clicks into the site after the scheduled date and time.

You can edit the post and change the date stamp and timestamp and click update.

However, the fix is fortunately simple. There is a plug-in called WP Missed Schedule. There are no settings – just install and activate. Its sole purpose in life is to check your site every few minutes and if it sees any scheduled posts were missed by WordPress, it will publish them for you. And that is all.
